DaVinci finger of God
Our Beginning
In 2001, a group of Kairos Prison Ministry volunteers wanted to better minister to men being released from prison. Kairos focuses on life on the inside - the formation of supportive community within the prison walls. Yet many of the men and women we met at the Prayer and Share groups were alone as they left prison. The organizing group discussed possibilities with prison Chaplains, church leaders, and former Directors of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Chaplaincy. From that beginning, Freedom in Community Restorative Ministry (FCRM) was formed to mentor those in prison, facilitating restoration between them, their family and community. FCRM is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Since 2002, God has expanded the ministry to include transformational courses, such as The Purpose Driven Life, and The Life Awareness Program. In 2005, One Man's Treasure clothes closet was formed, providing a week's clothing to men returning to the Dallas area. One Man's Tresasure became independent in 2014.
